Don combines his passion for investing, intellectual curiosity and analytical framework to build investment strategies to help our clients grow and preserve their wealth.
Don is a Shareholder and Director of Portfolio Management at Brightworth. His primary role is developing the overall investment strategy for client portfolios, researching investment managers and asset classes, and leading the investment research and portfolio management team. Don joined Brightworth in 1998. Prior to his current role, he served as Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager for the firm.
Don is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. He graduated with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in electrical engineering.
Don is a member of the CFA Society of Atlanta and the fee-only National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
Don has been quoted in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, CFA Institute Magazine, Financial Planning and Kiplinger's Retirement Report. In addition, he has written numerous investment articles and has spoken at conferences and industry groups on topics such as investment strategy and alternative investments. He has given presentations to the Alpha Group, the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia and the Innovative Alternative Strategies Conference.
Don and his wife, Stephanie, have three children and are members of Intown Community Church. He enjoys travel and reading.
