Bernie Santa Maria

Bernie has been a Brightworth consultant since 2009 after originally becoming a client in 1996. He has spent more than two decades in the investment consulting business with AG Becker/SEI Corp, Aon Consulting and Resource Advisory, Inc., which he founded in 1986. Bernie also spent a number of years in the technology business and was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
He has a Bachelors of Science in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester and also studied at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Bernie has volunteered with Habitat of Humanity, Middle School Basketball Tournaments and the Georgia High School Association Tennis State Championship.
Bernie has spoken at numerous investment conferences over the past 30 years including the Southern Employee Benefits Conference, Investment Management Institute and Investment Management Consultants Association. He has served on a number of boards including the Wake Forest University Babcock Graduate School of Business Board of Visitors and the Buckhead Atlanta Rotary.
He has lived in Atlanta since 1977, is married and has two children and three grandchildren. His interests include skiing, reading, playing electric guitar, travel and theatre. Bernie and his wife, Marilyn, are longtime members of the Dunwoody Country Club.
